I am an Administrator/Personal Assistant with more than 35 years experience, which has been gained in the Civil Service, private companies and the NHS. My qualifications include a Level 3 Business Admin apprenticeship, BSMSA Medical Secretarial Studies and a certified Virtual Assistant.

I previously ran a Virtual Assistant business between 2003 and 2008 before returning to employment when our son started school, so when my full-time position in the NHS was under threat through organisational change, it seemed like an obvious move for me to relaunch myself as Virtual Assistant.

What is a Virtual Assistant (VA)?

A VA is a freelance Administrator/Personal Assistant who works with several small businesses.

This saves small business owners money because the VA is responsible for paying:

  • National Insurance contributions
  • Pension contributions
  • Insurance
  • Registration with Information Commissioners Office (ICO)
  • Sick pay
  • Annual leave
  • Software licenses
  • Office equipment
  • and much more

Clients do not pay for:

  • comfort breaks
  • meal breaks
  • a delivery
  • phone calls
